Independence Day Speech by Trump

There could be no better place to celebrate America’s independence than beneath this magnificent, incredible, majestic mountain and monument to the greatest Americans who have ever lived.

The rights of the Lakota Sioux are ignored still. The land belongs to them by treaty and it was not ceded to the US Government in order to carve it up. As has been done before, the government ignored a treaty and did as they pleased. Read the 1868 treaty for yourself. In 1980 the Supreme Court ruled that the land taken still belonged to the Sioux, yet the government has not returned the land. Just one more act of racism by White America.

Today, we pay tribute to the exceptional lives and extraordinary legacies of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Teddy Roosevelt.  (Applause.)  I am here as your President to proclaim before the country and before the world: This monument will never be desecrated — (applause) — these heroes will never be defaced,

The mountain is sacred to the Lakota Sioux. It was defaced and desecrated by the US Government when the four faces were carved into it. BTW – the sculptor was himself a member of the KKK. A white racist defacing a sacred mountain. It shows White America’s unrepentant true colors.

their legacy will never, ever be destroyed, their achievements will never be forgotten, and Mount Rushmore will stand forever as an eternal tribute to our forefathers and to our freedom.  (Applause.)

He is correct that their legacy will never be destroyed, as long as our following generations are told the truth about the lives of the four men honestly and completely. It may stand eternal tribute, but not to our forefathers and our freedom. Trump means it will stand eternal to the racism of our forefathers and to white people’s freedom.

THE PRESIDENT:  We gather tonight to herald the most important day in the history of nations: July 4th, 1776.  At those words, every American heart should swell with pride.  Every American family should cheer with delight.  And every American patriot should be filled with joy, because each of you lives in the most magnificent country in the history of the world, and it will soon be greater than ever before.  (Applause.)

What about the hearts of American black slaves and their families? Are they only allowed to count 1/5th of any pride they may have, while the other 4/5ths cries out for freedom from their bondage? We should not be filled with pride, but shame, for our “magnificent” country still harbors cruel and deep hatred for those that were beat by the lash and treated as subhuman. The lash is only figurative now, but Black Americans still feel it being whipped against their naked backs.

Our Founders launched not only a revolution in government, but a revolution in the pursuit of justice, equality, liberty, and prosperity.

Yes, there was a revolution in pursuit of WHITE justice, WHITE equality, WHITE liberty, and WHITE prosperity. Donald, if you’re going to tell the story, tell it true – wait, I guess it is true in your racist heart.

No nation has done more to advance the human condition than the United States of America.  And no people have done more to promote human progress than the citizens of our great nation.  (Applause.)

The human progress gained by the citizens of our great nation is only for the dominate race in America. Black Americans have fought tooth and nail in the struggle for every inch they have gained towards true freedom and equality. They are still struggling and the only reason they are held back is because of the racism they still face daily.
